Crystals
For centuries healers and native people have used stones to direct energy in order to balance the mind, body, and spirit. While this might seem mysterious, modern science has shown that stones are “built” with well-ordered atomic structures. Already stones and crystals have been used to filter or funnel energy for a wide variety of uses. For example, the quartz crystal in your watch is used to keep time, and the first lasers were constructed with rubies that “ordered” the beams of light coming through them.
Although science has yet to quantify how the stones’ orderly vibrations can affect us, there is much folklore, clinical experience from healers, and intuitive information available. As with anything not yet proven, take into account the experience of others, use your discretion, and honor your own inner knowing.
How to Use Stones & Crystals
When I use stones for personal healing, meditation, or insight I sit holding a stone in meditation and ask it – in my mind – how it can help me. I then receive an answer, or see a picture, or have a feeling about how to use the stone. I try this out and see what experience teaches me then I compare my own notes to the notes of others.
In some cases I have been instructed to place the stone on my body to amplify healing energies. In other cases I have been shown a picture of myself holding the stone in a certain direction. I never know what to expect!
Although you can consult books and references, I suggest you try asking the stones themselves what they can do for you, and then experimenting with them by holding them or placing them on your body. In this way you will learn by experience and begin to trust your own inner wisdom. As with any other discipline, use common sense, and be safe.

Adventurine
Adventurine is a dark green stone that helps you make decisions from the heart. It stimulates creative inspiration and gives you the courage to live your truth around others.

Amber is fossilized pine resin. It is the color of liquid sunshine – yellow for the midday sun, and orange, for the fiery sunsets. The sunny energy is used to transmute negative energy, to cheer you up and help open you up to your divine blueprint. It is said to help draw sickness from the body and negativity from the emotional energy. For this reason, some say amber brings good luck!

The royal purple color of amethyst makes it a royal stone. It helps you attain spiritual perfection and assists you in calming the thoughts for meditation.
