Dandelion Dreams
Diamonds deftly woven
into feathery wisps of light,
Became dandelions dancing,
against saphhire skies of night.
And rubies slowly melted,
into maple’s crimson leaves,
While coins of aspen glittered
against emerald grasses green.
Silver strands of starlight
sparkled, lit up amethyst lupine,
while topaz ferns waved in the breeze
I breathed, a symphony divine.
Then sleepily awaken
on a grassy carpet, nature’s bed,
look up at bright blue skies and towering trees,
… dreams dancing through my head.
No kingdom’s wealth or elegance
No land on distant shore
Could ever share a treasure
I could treasure any more.
