The angel message reminds me of a little incident this week. I had finally gotten ahead on emails, calls, and scheduling. My house was clean, there was food in the fridge and I am even making huge headway on transcribing the seminar I did on Christianity and Mysticism (which I hope to have done in a few weeks!). I was just thinking to myself, how wonderful to have an evening with nothing going crazy… when the storm hit! As those of you in Phoenix know, we got 60mph winds and torrential rain for a few hours. I watched the low spots in my yard fill in to 4 inches of rain, wondered if my pool would overflow and realized that the mulch in the planter boxes was going to be floating all over my grass in the morning. As they say, LIFE happens 🙂

Instead of getting all bummed out about all the extra work I’m going to have and not having any time to do it, I resolved I’d just get up early the following morning and clean up the yard. After all a little fresh air would do me good. The air would be pure, the temperature beautiful and a bit of physical exercise sure won’t hurt me! So after all, you CAN choose to look at the glass half empty or half full. As I write this, knowing full well I’ll be up before work with a rake and a shovel, I know that the rain is truly God’s way of loving the dry earth and a little extra work is God’s way of making my body feel good too. So try to see the love in even the unexpected surprises this week… amazing how it changes the quality of your life.
