MONTEZUMA CASTLE

Although not in Sedona, Montezuma Castle is an beautiful photo stop if you are driving up from Phoenix. The five-story, 20 room cliff dwelling, was used by the Sinagua Indians over 600 years ago. Enjoy an information center available where you can learn more about the native populations that inhabited this area.

Directions:
From Phoenix, take I-17 about 90 miles north of Phoenix, and then turn right onto exit 289. Drive east (through two traffic circles) for approximately 1/2 mile to the blinking red light. Turn left on Montezuma Castle Road.
Difficulty:
Easy.
Things to bring:
Bring a camera and water in the summer.
