December 24
Thought for the Day:
Whether you are Christian, Jewish, Hindu, or some other faith, or none at all, the holiday season celebrates the birth of the Divine within each of our hearts. It is the festival of light – the light of God being born within each one of us. This light is born without fanfare, in humility, in environments sometimes dark and cold. It is the nurturing love of the mother, and the solid presence of the father that nurse this light into its full glorious expression within us. May the light of God fill you on this day and all days. May your heart know peace and the very great love of God.
Prayer for the Day:
Dear God I ask your love and your light to be born anew within my heart. It is Your presence that is the greatest present of all. I ask to both receive and share the gift of Your love. Allow me to be the light in the darkness, hope for my world, and a source of innocent joy for those whose lives I touch. Fill me with the light of Christmas every day of my life.
Song for the Day:
