December 6

Thought for the Day:

Today is St. Nicholas day. Saint Nicholas, a fourth century bishop of the city of Myra in what is now Turkey. He was known for his great kindness and his generous aid to those in distress. Traditional celebrations of Saint Nicholas Day in Northern Europe included gifts left in children’s shoes. Today, leave a little treat for someone – a cup of coffe for a co-worker, a note of appreciation for your spouse, a few special candies in someone’s shoe…

Prayer for the Day:

Dear God thank you for allowing me to share your generous gifts with others. Help me remember that kindness is a gift too, and sometimes the presents that don’t cost a thing are the best.God help me remember that I have gifts and talents to share with the world! Help me let my light shine bright.

Song for the Day:

Frank Sinatra sings, “I’ve got my love to keep me warm.”

Your love can warm the heart of someone else too!
