My dear friends, we love you so very much,

From the day you were born, you have been programming your brain to form your very own model of reality.
As much as you share in common with others, each of you has a very unique and personal set of beliefs about how life is, what you can expect in given situations, and what you are capable of accomplishing. This set of beliefs empowers you in some cases and limits you in others. It gives you an advantage in some situations and blocks your happiness in others. The sumtotal of these beliefs creates what you call your "reality."

It wasn't always this way. When you were born, you came in with what our channel calls "basic equipment!" Your body came in programmed to operate, survive, and thrive. It came programmed to extract what it needed from the food, air, and environment around you. You came equipped with a biological "operating system" that knows how to grow, heal, and recalibrate itself. This body is aware of its internal state—its structure, its chemistry, the freedom with which it carries blood, lymph, and nerve signals to every structure and organ. When one area or system is compromised, the body's intelligence begins to recalibrate to repair and work around the problem. The body is even aware of its position in space and time, constantly recalibrating to dance with gravity and keep you upright. You—the soul—live and breathe in a magnificent, miraculous, intelligent vehicle.

And you, dear friends, get to program the vehicle. You get to program your own mind. You get to emit an energy that programs the body. The programming is not something that happens outside of you. There were, and are, and always will be countless external influences, but in the end, it is the conclusions you form about life that determine what beliefs you will adopt and integrate into your own worldview.

If you don't consciously decide how to program your own mind, others will do it for you. You can accept childhood programming as fact, or you can change it. You can listen to what you hear on the news or see on social media and take it in, or you can question it. At all times, through your attention and your intentions, you are programming the mind—and your reality. You get to choose what you focus upon. You get to choose the conclusions you draw from your experiences and observations.

You often say you were programmed as children, and in a sense, you were, but in reality, you were the ones who formed your own conclusions about others' thoughts, words, and actions. Some of you adopted others' views about reality and about yourselves. Some of you quietly rebelled and formed your own conclusions. Some of you considered all you saw and chose what to believe and what to discard. Many of you simply observed for a while and made conclusions only after seeing things repeated a few times. So, while it may seem that the external world programmed you, at a deeper level, it was your conclusions about life that programmed you.

And this is good news because if you don't like the program, you can change it. If you don't want to accept that aging equals decline, you can start to reprogram yourself with different beliefs such as:

"Use it or lose it."
"I grow wiser with age."
"I am kinder to my body over the years."
"My body is trying to tell me something. Let me lovingly listen so it can heal."

We are not here to tell you what to believe, but we are here to suggest that you choose beliefs that feel empowering, supportive of your intentions, and above all, feel like love. The more your beliefs feel like love, the more powerfully they'll affect your reality. And the more you give your attention to what feels like love, the more this attention and focus will support empowering beliefs.

Take the subject of aging, for example. Does it feel like love to constantly repeat to yourself, "I guess I'm just getting older. Things are starting to decline..." or does it feel more like love to say, "I am an eternal being, and as long as I keep the life force flowing through the vehicle and give it what it needs, it will hold up well." Does it serve you, when you are sick, to reinforce the reality that you are sick, or does it feel more like love to say to yourself, "My body knows how to heal. It is constantly recalibrating. I just need to give it extra love and rest, listen to its needs, and the more I take care of it, the quicker it will heal."

Likewise, what feels more like love to you? "I hate people. I can't trust them. I'd rather be alone." Or does it feel more like love to say, "I have internal radar that can sense who is compatible with me and who is not. I don't have to please anyone to be loved. I can be myself and let life sift itself out around me. I can be the loving being that I am and choose to walk away from what is not loving."

Which set of beliefs feels more empowering, more loving, and more expansive? To someone who has undergone horrible abuse, the first set might be the most comfortable set of beliefs in the moment. It might help you find a sense of safety from which you can evolve your inner compass. To others, the second set of beliefs would be more empowering. You get to choose.

Dear ones, it serves you well to feed your mind and body what nourishes them in the moment. You will feel the rightness of a thought, a belief, or even a food in the moment, as surely as you will also feel a repulsion for what is not consistent with your intentions.

Suppose you have an intention to take care of yourself. A friend calls and wants something from you. In the past, you automatically said yes. You learned to take care of others and please them because that's what "good children" did. But maybe you realize you are tired in this moment and are not authentically feeling inspired to assist. You can kindly decline, offer to help at another time, or take a nap and call back later. You get to choose. Many of you would feel guilty turning anyone down, and yet you turn yourself down all the time. This is just the result of your programming... and you can change the program.

"I honor the spirit of life and light within."
"I serve others more when I do so authentically."
"When I take care of myself, I am a gift to life."
"There's no need to feel guilty for caring for myself."
"I am already a good person. I don't have to prove it."

Pick what resonates with you. Write it down where you can see it often. Repeat it to yourself frequently. It takes time to reprogram a belief, but with persistence, you can and will do it, and suddenly what once was uncomfortable will become your new reality.

Dear ones, you are the programmer and the programmed one. You form your own beliefs based on what you see, hear, taste, touch, and smell, and you can change them to suit how you want to experience life.

Reprogramming yourself does take work. There are countless tools, techniques, modalities, and people who will help you do it. And from our perspective, choosing to create new beliefs that empower you, serve you, and feel like love is well worth the effort you'll put into replacing the ones that no longer serve you.

God Bless You! We love you so very much.

Hi Everyone,

I was a brain geek in high school. My dad had a fascination with the mind and several books on memory, dreams, and the brain in his collection. I read them all. I learned and wrote about the electrochemical theories of memory and the activation-synthesis hypothesis of dreams, which says the brain is trying to make sense of random electrical signals during REM sleep.

In a rather involved science fair project, I experimented with waking myself up at different times every night until I figured out my sleep cycle and learned to wake at just the right time to capture my dreams! I was out to demonstrate evidence for the theory that the brain processes the day's activities in our sleep, weighs them against memories, and files them appropriately! While I certainly didn't end up with "proof," I did experience the day's events—and even more so, the emotions—weaving themselves into my dreams. It appeared to me that I was processing them in my sleep so I could better assimilate what was important, how I felt about it, and what to discard. Despite the lack of sleep, I enjoyed tapping into my nightly adventures immensely! It opened up a whole new world.

These explorations also hinted at how we program our brains and inspired me to continue playing with my own thoughts and how they affected my reality, which has served me well throughout life.

After The Secret came out, I taught a class I wanted to call "Beyond the Secret. I ended up changing the name, and it became the basis for my "Manifesting in the Flow" class. Clients started telling me I was teaching the same ideas as The Law of Attraction by Abraham-Hicks. Years later, when I finally read the book, I must have sounded like I was having a really good date to the neighbors because, with very other page I was exclaiming, "Yes! Yes! Yes!!!" Seriously, it was the first time I saw what the angels had been teaching me for years presented so well, and in such an accessible manner, and I was overjoyed.

Bottom line, I like to try on thoughts more than I like to try on outfits—which, being female, is fun too! I like to experiment with thoughts that feel the most empowering.

When I was on crutches years ago and couldn't easily clean house, I imagined anti-static dust fairies repelling dust from my furniture. I live in Arizona, which can be a dust bowl. Nearly two decades later, however, I rarely have to dust. I cannot explain this with logic whatsoever, but somehow my little made-up belief systems turn into reality.

Last night, a friend called in pain. I have a beautiful picture of Jesus in my office, and one way I connect with the Divine consciousness is to look at that beautiful, compassionate face and talk to Him. "Hi Jesus. Can you help my friend? She needs healing right now." Heat started to flow through me and through her too, even on the other side of the phone.

When we hung up, I looked at the picture again."Please heal her in her sleep. Thank You!" And off I went to my other tasks. She woke up without the terrible pain. She was open, of course, or nothing would have worked, but because of that, our joint beliefs about what is possible worked.

The more I play with empowering beliefs, the more they empower me. When a lot of money goes out the door, I tell myself money is like a tidal wave. A huge outflow means there's going to be a large inflow. Somehow that works.

When I have a physical problem, I tell myself what the angels have told me: "My body knows how to heal. I just have to feed it, rest it, be kind to it, and get rid of my stinkin' thinkin'." Then I do my best to imagine how the healed condition feels, and frequently, that happens.

I'm not always this "powerful" with my beliefs, but the more I play with them, the more I believe that we really do program not only our minds but also our reality.

It takes practice to reprogram. Our brain biology is designed to go down familiar paths. If it didn't, we'd have to relearn how to use a fork every time we sat down to eat and how to drive a car every time we wanted to go somewhere. A million times a day, that tendency to see the familiar serves us.

But it doesn't serve us when we go down familiar, painful tracks in the mind. We have to consciously "try on" and practice new beliefs in order to rewire our biology. If you think of the nerve cells in your brain like long train tracks with a lot ofswitches, a belief is like a soft-wired path of different switches that go down the same track every time something happens. By thinking new thoughts paired with feeling new feelings, we retrain our brains to go down different tracks. That is grossly oversimplified, but it makes the point.

It takes repetition to rewire the brain. Or you can go into a neutral space beyond thought and let the Divine rewire it for you.

I talked with Dr. Joe Dispenza years ago at a conference where we both spoke. He wasn't famous yet, but he was the most fascinating speaker at the conference, in my opinion, because he was geeking up my alley, talking about the brain. I caught him in the hall and shared how a friend of mine who had Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly known as multiple personality disorder) would go into a "no mind" space in between personalities. When a new one emerged, there was an entirely different physiology associated with it.

Dr. Joe confirmed that different neural networks are activated after they switch. I was so excited that I started to ramble. "That's how we rewire. When we go into that space of no thought, we recalibrate to a new state. If only you could help people figure out how to get to that no-mind space! That's the switch!" I was really excited. He grinned. "We're working on that," he said.

Fast-forward. Dr. Joe is now teaching seminars to thousands worldwide in which he combines ancient Kriya Yoga practices with modern meditation to help people enter that "no-mind" state. There are countless stories of people who practice his work and are having astounding results—reversing genetic disorders, finding genius solutions to life challenges, and doing what is considered medically impossible. He is now bringing scientific study into his seminars to measure the various brain states associated with these so-called miracles. So much fun!

We are way more powerful than we were taught! Our minds are brilliant transducers between Divine Mind and physical reality. As we align with what feels good and like love and focus on desired outcomes, we literally program ourselves to seek and see what is consistent with what we want. We program our own biology.

Top-performing athletes frequently visualize their best game because science has shown that imagining an event causes similar muscular and electrical signals as actually doing something.

In fact, Dr. Joe quotes a study in one of his books in which different groups were given different ways to look at "exercise." At the end of the study, the changes in strength and muscle mass were measured. One group imagined lifting, but without much feeling, as if they were watching themselves on TV. Another group actually lifted weights. The third group imagined lifting but with all the attendant feelings—the strain, the sweat, the muscle engagement, the feelings of victory, etc.

Not surprisingly, Group 1 didn't see much change, and Group 2 (the real lifters) saw a measurable increase in strength. The fascinating part of the study was that the group who imagined the exercise with all the feels actually gained nearly as much strength as the group that actually lifted! That is my kind of exercise!!

Seriously, that is the power of our own biology, even without the woo woo part of it —that we also attract things similar to the energy we emit. So even without vibrational law, our own biology is programmed to affect itself with proper direction. It is mind-blowing, pun intended!

I could geek out on this subject forever. The inner power we have—both biologically and spiritually—is barely tapped in most of us, but it is a lot of fun to play with.

If you don't like how things are already going in your life, here are some fun ways to play with your own mind that might (probably will) affect your reality in a positive way:

1.   Play the Positive Side of the "What If?" Game

We are constantly wondering, "What if?" What if this happens? What if that happens? We try to imagine what might go wrong, but has anyone ever suggested we start imagining all that could go right?

Next time you worry about anything—and I mean anything, from whether or not you'll have time for dinner to how you will survive an illness—play the positive side of the "What if?" game:

What if my day goes so well that I have time to cook a wonderful meal? What if I stop somewhere and get a great dinner? What if someone brings me food? What if...

What if I can heal this with my mind? What if this problem in my body is the excuse I've needed to truly rest and take care of myself? What if this is going to be the catalyst that causes me to change habits so I can live a long, enjoyable life? What if...

The more you play the positive side of the "What if?" game, the more you will start to entertain the possibility of wonderful outcomes instead of terrible ones. You'll retrain your brain to look for opportunities instead of problems. And, vibrationally speaking, you'll bias your field toward a positive outcome.

What if you were so magical and powerful that you could think of something several times and see it happen?

2. Make Up Stories That Empower You

I invented something I called "anti-static dust fairies," and I cannot explain it, but my house stopped accumulating dust. I looked at Jesus' picture last night and asked Him to heal my friend, and I was so full of myself that I expected it to happen. My friend did too. And she healed. Go figure. I can't give you a biological explanation.

I like to imagine energy moving around in my body when something isn't quite right, and it often helps. I spent time thinking myself thinner last month, lost my sugar cravings, and the weight left the building.

We make up all sorts of negative stories about ourselves, others, and life! I've heard so many these past few years...

"Those crazy liberals." "Those insane conservatives." "Deluded anti-vaxxers." "Conspiratorial vaxxers..." You name it. I've heard it.

And none of those upsetting beliefs helps the believer at all. Whether or not they're true or false in your life is far less relevant than whether or not they empower you. For some, they do. But for most, they agitate the person involved.

Far kinder to yourself to make up a story that feels more empowering. "We're all doing our best. We all want the same basic things. We may not agree, but we can learn from each other." Or sing John Lennon's Imagine and really vibe with the lyrics.

Make up your own stories about your future. Think about the best that can happen. Think about how you'd feel in your fairy-tale reality. Then latch onto those feelings and replay them often because new thoughts result in new chemistry, which is indicated by new feelings—and also means new vibrations.

Suddenly, the daydreaming that kids do makes sense. They don't know the biology or the energy of it in a scholarly sense, but they know they feel good, and they expect to get what they want.

My favorite story about this was from a client whose granddaughter wanted a certain doll that was completely sold out over the holidays. They couldn't find it anywhere. After one trip to the store, they were discussing where to go next when they turned around and saw the little girl holding the very same doll they had been seeking. She looked quite satisfied.

They panicked and went into the store to return it, making sure the manager knew they didn't mean to shoplift. He looked at them, puzzled, and asked where the child got the doll. They did not have it in stock and hadn't had it for weeks. All eyes turned to the little girl. "Where did you get that?" She answered easily, "Little Grandma gave it to me." Shock. Silence. "Little Grandma" was her great-grandmother in spirit. Seriously.

We can't explain that one either, but this child had her eyes on the prize in her own mind so strongly that somehow, in some way we will probably never understand, she allowed Spirit to hand it right to her. I've heard so many of these wild stories.

At worst, making up positive stories will make you feel better and help you be healthier. At best, you may just have a weird and wonderful miracle.

3. Try On Thoughts!

When changing a disempowering belief, I "try on" thoughts. I play around with different possibilities until I find one I like that resonates with me and feels empowering. I make up totally silly rhymes or little ditties.

In my early thirties, I started playing with: "My back is straight. I'm feeling great! I have a date!" I threw the last one in because, why not? It felt fun. A week later, a man I'd admired greatly asked me out. We dated for three years in what was the best relationship I'd ever had, before he moved. It was a cherished part of my life. Why not?

Try on thoughts and pick ones that feel good. Play with your own mind until you feel something click. Make up little rhymes or songs if you like. The more lighthearted and good you feel, the better the results.

Can you imagine if we were taught that we can use our own minds to cooperate with our body's operating system tha tnaturally tries to recalibrate and heal? Can you imagine if we were taught that thoughts create feelings that either feel like love or don't, and that the ones that feel like love indicate alignment with our highest self and our greatest power?

We'd have a far kinder world, a far easier life, and a far more fun experience on this earth. The good news is that we can reclaim these skills at any time, play with them, discover what works for ourselves, and thus become the "software developers" of our own lives!

Happy brain training! Have a blessed week,
Love,
Ann
