Where to Stay / What to Do

SedonaIf you can't resist an overnight stay in Sedona, you're wise! There is too much to do in just one day and there are many fine places to stay. I've included a few of my favorites below as well as some that just look wonderful!

Keep in mind I like to stay at the more inexpensive places since I travel here so often. There are so many more accommodations in every price range so I'll refer you to a few of the lodging links that I've located on the net.

As far as entertainment goes, check out the signs posted at the "Y" for local entertainment. I've also listed my personal favorite(s) below. Sedona is a sleepy town at night, but you can find some real fun if you're willing to look for it!

The White House Inn
Although its not located in a prime-view area of town, I like the White House Inn because it is inexpensive and clean. And no matter where you stay you wake up to some view of the red rocks! A bargain in this resort-town filled with more expensive places to stay.

Located on west 89A on the north side of the road just after Tortilla Drive, and just after the Crystal Magic Store. 928 282 6680.

The Cedars Resort
Cedars is a pleasant place to stay with pretty views overlooking the creek and Schnebly hill. The rooms are clean and you get a fridge which is nice if you're staying a few days. Also the heated jacuzzi feels pretty soothing after a long day of hiking!

Located on north 89A on the east side of the road immediately after you turn right at the "Y". 928-282-7010

Slide Rock Lodge
Slide Rock Lodge is a rustic but cozy place to stay if you want lodging in Oak Creek Canyon. The hotel boasts its own private section of creek across the road, and the rooms are clean and comfortable, if a bit tiny. If you plan to play at Slide Rock, you'll enjoy the convenience and the cabin-like atmosphere.

Located on north 89A on the west side of the road just before Slide Rock State Park. Hard to miss.

Creekbend Cabin
I've known owner Laurie Brander for years. She is an absolute delight and poured a lot of love into this cabin by the creek near gorgeous Sedona, AZ. Contact her here, or call: 928.634.0068.

Southwest Inn at Sedona
Although I haven't stayed here, this wonderful combination of Inn and B&B looks like a great place. Their web site promises to pamper you and they are very knowledgeable about what to do and where to go when you visit. The Inn offers special wedding and honeymoon packages too! Located at 3250 West 89A. (928) 282-3344

The Alma de Sedona Bed & Breakfast
I haven't stayed here but this place looks darling! Their web site promises a unique retreat combining modern comfort and warm hospitality in a casually elegant setting.

Owner Lynn McCarroll and her sister Sharon McCain, form an outstanding innkeeping team. Their mutual love of entertaining, and nurturing personalities provide a warm and welcoming environment. Together with Jensvold/Thompson Architects and Liz Ryan Design of Tucson, they’ve created a rich and elegant setting resulting in an A.S.I.D. design award.

Each room at Alma de Sedona Inn is designed with your comfort and pleasure in mind. Our inn is situated on a quiet street away from the noise and traffic with incredible red rock views. To visit their beautiful and informative web site, Click Here
